Specific murders by gun violence are now graphic violence predicated on overkill with the message sent in the overkill. Added to this is the message sent in wiping out members of families. This is all reminds one of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. I have presented the analysis of the reality in my last post and the question is now: what do we as a social order offer to deal with this reality? Well in the Daily Express September 12, 2016 the Solution by Simulation poll graphically told us that the solution is rejected by an overwhelming majority of the sample of the poll. Only 22% has confidence in the Police and 14% in the judicial system with the poor and the young being the most disaffected and this dismal lack of confidence is tied to the 25% level of confidence in the Parliament. T&T is then in a crisis of legitimacy of the state institutions and this crisis has handed a PARADISE to transnational crime in which to play and they are playing all the way to their offshore accounts. How many illicit guns do you think are in the hands of persons in T&T? Well in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest in the world, Haiti it has been officially estimated that there are 250,000 illicit guns. In energy rich T&T where we have gone through several energy booms where we spent money like it was going out of style how many illicit guns are in T&T? Half a million, a quarter million? So when you seize 600 per year and the illicit flow inwards never stops who trying to fool whom? That reeks of crisis driven denial. I will now say no more for I have said enough over the years and paid for it!
